Dried Apple Ornaments:
I just love the smell of apples and cinnamon that's why, when I learned how to make these apple cinnamon ornaments I just had to make some for my Christmas tree next year. As they where baking in the oven they smelled so appetizing I just wanted to take them out and eat them. It's only too bad they don't taste as good as they smell. I can't wait to hang mine on my Christmas tree next year with that sweet smell. Drying out the apples is a long but uncomplicated process just corollary these few easy steps.

How to dry out apple slices:
Begin by coring your apples with either an apple corer or knife. Then slice the apples in quarter inch slices and lay them out on a plate. Next pour some lemon juice into a bowl and Begin soaking all your apple slices in the lemon juice. After all your apple slices are soaked place them back on a plate and pat them dry with a paper towel. Now lightly brush the apple slices with cinnamon on both sides. If you would like a dissimilar sent you can try out other spices too. Turn the oven on at 150 degrees and place each apple slice directly on the rack. Using a cooking sheet could cause them to burn. Every two hours you will want to turn them over, it will take six to eight hours for the apple slice to be fully dry. Just continue to check on your apple slice when you go to flip them. Once they are fully dry take off them from the oven and allow some time to cool down. I like to add a microscopic decorative touch so as soon as there cool poke a whole in the tops and tie some ribbon through each one and then make and glue a bow right where the whole is.
There are other things you can make besides ornaments with dried fruits to decorate your home for example wreathes and table center pieces. When production wreathes or centerpieces you can use other materials like synthetic berries, flowers and ribbons. These decorations can be used all year round not just for the Christmas season so fill free to keep them through out the year. an additional one good fruit to use are oranges which look great glimmering in the light and they smell just as sweet.
